These services include the sourcing of full agency contracts that our clients can use to govern their agency usage, agency licensing agreements for use of Prolucent’s vendor management system (VMS), and custom contracting that can be done directly in partnership with the healthcare provider. Our strategic sourcing process and contracting portfolio for full-agency contracts has typically provided our clients with 3 to 7% in agency cost savings.

Many hospitals use Prolucent's VMS technology on a stand-alone basis to complement their existing agency contracts and management processes. Many other hospitals have partnered with our strategic sourcing services to achieve additional value out of our agency contract portfolio and our agency management services. Strategic Sourcing Services Tailored To Fit Your Operation And Objectives

For those healthcare providers using our strategic sourcing services, we partner with each hospital to put in place full-service agency agreements or VMS licensing agreements that meet their specific operational requirements and contingent workforce strategy. For the strategic sourcing and contracting of full-service agency agreements, we typically work with each hospital in the following areas:

  • Determination of which agencies the hospital would like to work with (this can include any existing agencies they currently work with or new agencies that become available through this process)
  • Determination and documentation of minimum skills requirements for every job category (at the unit level of each hospital) provided through the contracts and VMS technology
  • Determination and negotiation of pricing structure to meet hospital’s financial objectives
  • Determination and negotiation of key vendor service levels (e.g. no show/cancellation penalties, right to hire, background check, insurance, etc.)
  • Standard terms and conditions
  • Specific terms and conditions that must be included in the contract as a requirement of a specific hospital or local requirements
  • Facilitate vendor RFP processes and negotiations as necessary
  • Work with hospital to develop an ongoing agency management approach for these contracts and begin to deliver on that approach
